There was an issue with our server were the below post was deleted. I’m recreating it here. Originally this was from user ‘lisachalfant’ where she said:

Are you just allergic to green pepper or other types of hot peppers? Currently we have capsaicin/peppers as an all encompassing category. I can break it down to subcategories if you need me to. Just let me know.

I am allergic to Red Pepper (capsaicin) but not green peppers so breaking it out would be helpful or breaking out the spices into Red & Black pepper might also be helpful. Thanks

There are two separate pepper categories: Capsaicin/peppers and Pepper. You can view the associated ingredients on the recipe page.

If you’re referring to green chili peppers, these actually belong in the capsaicin/peppers category, because they are just a younger variant of the more mature chili peppers. If you’re referring to green pepper that is used as a spice or seasoning, then this is located under the pepper category.
