Baked pork chops

Recipe Servings: 6 servings Description: Standard pork chops. Goes well with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables. Allergens: Animal, Beet, Citrus, Corn, Fructose, Fruit/vegetable, Gelatin, Legume, Lemon, Miscellaneous, Nut, Pepper, Pork, Soy, Spices, Sugar, Sugar cane, Sulfites, Tomato Ingredient List:

Instructions: Bake at 350 Fahrenheit.
1. Brown the pork chops in a large skillet.
2. Place in a greased baking dish.
3. Sprinkle with pepper and salt.
4. Place a thin slice of lemon on each pork chop.
5. Spread brown sugar over each chop, then tomato sauce.
6. Cover and bake for 1 1/4 hours

Is there a good substute for tomatoes in this recipe, I was thinking roasted red pepper.

Allergy Alert- Marjarine contains Soy, replace with butter or tolerable fat subtitute.
