Chocolate mint dessert

Recipe Servings: 12 Description: Rich, rich, rich! This melts in your mouth and is a great treat for a chocolate lover Allergens: Animal, Beet, Brewers yeast, Chocolate, Corn, Cow milk, Dairy, Egg, Fermented, Food coloring, Fructose, Fruit/vegetable, Gelatin, Gluten, Grain, Legume, Miscellaneous, Nut, Soy, Sugar, Sugar cane, Sulfites, Vanilla, Wheat, Yeast Ingredient List:

Instructions: Cake Layer:
Heat oven to 350. Grease rectangular pan, 13x9x2 inches. In large mixer bowl combine flour, sugar, 1/2 cup margarine(softened), eggs, and syrup; beat until smooth. Pour into prepared pan; bake 25 to 30 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched. Cool completely in pan. Spread Mint Cream Center on cake; cover and chill. Pour Chocolate Topping over chilled dessert. Cover; chill at least 1 hour before serving.
Mint Cream Center:
In small bowl combine confectioner's sugar, 1/2 cup margarine (softened), water, mint extract, food coloring; beat until smooth.
Chocolate Topping:
In small saucepan over very low heat, melt remaining 6 tbsp margarine and chocolate chips. Remove from heat; stir until smooth. Cool slightly
