Recipe Servings: 9 Description: A good fat-free, milk-free chocolate cake. Allergens: Animal, Beet, Chocolate, Corn, Egg, Egg white, Fermented, Fructose, Fruit/vegetable, Gluten, Grain, Miscellaneous, Spices, Sugar, Sugar cane, Sulfites, Wheat Ingredient List:

¼ cup Allergy_none cornstarch
1 tsp. Allergy_none baking powder
½ tsp. Allergy_none baking soda
½ tsp. Allergy_none salt
1 ¼ cup Allergy_none granulated sugar
1 cup Allergy_none water
3 Allergy_none egg whites
½ cup Allergy_none Karo Light corn syrup
1 ¼ cup Allergy_none all purpose flour
½ cup Allergy_none unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions: Preheat oven to 350°. Spray a 9x9-in. pan with cooking spray of your choice. In a large bowl, combine first 6 ingredients. Set aside.
In a different bowl, mix water and sugar for 1 minute. Add egg whites and corn syrup to sugar and water mixture. Stir to blend. Gradually stir into dry ingredients until smooth. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, if desired, or frost as desired. I frost with marshmallow frosting. (See recipe)
Recipe can be doubled and baked in a 9x13x2-in. pan. Adjust cooking time.
