Recipe Servings: 6-8 Prep Time: 1.5 hrs total cooking time Description: These smell great cooking. If you don't want to use tomato sauce, brown the meatballs in a skillet and make a thin pan gravy to go over them in the oven. Allergens: Animal, Beef, Celery, Fructose, Fruit/vegetable, Garlic, Grain, Onion, Rice, Spices, Sugar Ingredient List:

QtyName
2 tsp Allergy_none salt
1/2 cup Allergy_none rice , white, uncooked
1/2 cup Allergy_none water
2 pds Allergy_none ground beef
1 large Allergy_none onion
1 rib Allergy_none celery
3 or 4 cloves Allergy_none garlic

Instructions: Put veg. through food processor and add this to meat, along with salt, rice and water. Make into meatballs (mine are about 2" diameter) and bake in a large pan for about 30 minutes, at 350 degrees. (Or stand by the stove and brown in a skillet. Use this method and make a thin pan gravy if not making a tomato sauce.)
Add water to 1 6oz can tomato paste to equal 3 cups liquid. Place meatballs and tomato liquid into a covered 2 qt dish and bake 45 minutes at 350 degrees. Then uncover to thicken a little, but be careful because the sauce will evaporate quickly.
Good with mashed potatoes and even rice.

Most tomato pastes (or the ones I get) are ONLY tomatoes. Yes, canned tomato sauce has much more in it.
