Topic: Allergy Support Group / Salt & Oil substitutes, esp. in bread Hi, Specifically, I’m looking for some way to make bread or crackers with basically just flour and water. Dairy, oils, fats, eggs, yeast, and salt are out. I’ve used bananas or applesauce as egg substitutes in other things, but I’ve never yet tried to make bread or crackers with these limitations. |

Topic: Allergy Support Group / giving up restraunts? When I go to restaurants, I bring my own meal. That may not suit your needs, because you have to eat out for work reasons. But, it works better for me than I thought it would. I was concerned they would throw me out, but calling ahead and talking to the manager helps, and for more informal places a quick talk with the waiter when they take drink orders. It’s a new concept for many people that a customer is there not for the food but for the atmosphere and to enjoy time with companions. |
